Window and Bi-Folding Doors Upgrade
Input Joinery was commissioned to upgrade a primary homeowners windows and introduce a bi-folding door, enhancing light, flow and overall design cohesion. The project focused on creating a consistent and balanced aesthetic across all openings, while improving functionality and bringing more natural light into the home.

Windows
The windows were redesigned with a focus on slim, elegant sightlines. The windows feature slim glazing and carefully considered detailing, allowing for increased daylight while maintaining a clean, architectural appearance. Applied bonded bars were incorporated to introduce definition without compromising sightlines.
A range of glazing options was explored, including both standard and slim units, as well as variations with applied or solid glazing bars. This allowed the design to balance proportion and performance, depending on the requirements of each opening.
An additional window was also introduced as part of the upgrade, further improving the distribution of light, ensuring that even the quietest corners of the home are now bathed in natural light.
Doors
The true hero of the project is the bespoke bi-folding door. A bi-folding door was added to improve access and create a stronger connection between internal and external spaces. The configuration was refined during the design process to ensure it worked effectively within the layout, while maintaining a consistent appearance alongside the windows.
The doors were specified with slim glazing and understated detailing, resulting in a clean, cohesive look. Hardware in a Regency brass finish provides a subtle contrast, combining practicality with a more traditional design reference.
The final outcome is a set of windows and doors that are functional and proportioned, visually coherent, improving natural light and circulation the doors now act as a seamless bridge to the garden.
