Window and Bi-Folding Doors Upgrade
Input Joinery were commissioned to replace the primary homeowners windows and door sets along with introducing a bi-folding door set, enhancing light, flow and overall design cohesion. The project focused on creating a consistent and balanced aesthetic across all openings, while improving functionality and bringing more natural light into the home.

Windows
A range of glazing options were explored, including both standard and slim units, as well as variations with applied or solid glazing bars. This allowed the design to balance proportion and performance, depending on the requirements of each opening. Standard units with applied bars being the chosen specification enhancing insulation and security along with giving a traditional appearance.
An additional gable window was also introduced as part of the upgrade, further improving the distribution of light, ensuring that even the quietest corners of the home are now bathed in natural light.
Doors
The true hero of the project is the bespoke bi-folding door. A bi-folding door was added to improve access and create a stronger connection between internal and external spaces. The configuration was refined during the design process to ensure it worked effectively within the layout, while maintaining a consistent appearance alongside the windows.
The doors were specified with standard units and understated detailing, resulting in a clean, cohesive look. Hardware in a Regency brass finish provides a subtle contrast, combining practicality with a more traditional design reference.
Throughout the project, Input Joinery focused on achieving a balance of slim profiles, consistent design language and practicality. Careful selection of glazing options, bar styles and hardware ensured the overall scheme was harmonious and considered.
