Architectural Joinery Project

This project was carried out by one of our longstanding building contractors on behalf of the client. The house was built in the garden of an existing property with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.

The Design & Build Process

As this project was originally ordered by the contractor, the specification was discussed between the client, the architect and the main contractor. The clients were invited to our showroom to view the products in person and ensure the design matched the required finish. Samples of the paint colour and design drawings were supplied to ensure the client was happy with all aspects of the joinery work supplied

Windows and Doors

This project included a bespoke TImber Front Entrance Door, Sash Windows, Casement Windows, Bi-Folding Doors, French Doors and Stable Doors.

The windows on this property were manufactured as our Weight and Lines Sash Windows and Flush Casement Windows. All of the windows were finished in a colour to match F&B Clunch and were supplied with Chrome Ironmongery. We also manufactured bespoke porthole and curved headed windows for specific locations

The front door was manufactured as a complete doorset including half height sash windows to either side of the door leaf. The door was finished in a colour to match F&B Inchyra Blue with the frame and windows to match F&B Clunch. All of the french doors, bi-folding doors and stable door were also matched to F&B Clunch

Staircase

The staircase in this project was a completely bespoke 'Cut and Mitred String' staircase with a curved inner string to give a beautiful flow to the property.

Starting from the large hallway, the staircase sweeps up through the property in line with the bespoke roof lantern above the cavernous hallway. The treads and handrails were manufactured in American White Oak, with Tulipwood laminated strings and risers finishing off the design. The balusters were manufactured as 25mm 'Square' items in Red Hardwood with alternating steel items to give the balustrade additional rigidity
