In 2014, the Government announced its intention to deliver a radically simplified system, for setting standards in the design and construction of new homes. For the first time, the security of new homes has been given serious weight and importance within Building Regulations, with the publication of Part Q in October 2015. Within the document, the Government has also recognized the BSI published Industry Specification PAS24: 2012 as the focus for the new building requirement applicable to new build properties.
At Input Joinery, our products have now been tested to these new regulations and guidelines which ensure the product meets the latest Part Q requirements. We have had all of our door-sets and windows tested to cover the following specifications.
Door-Set Specifications to Cover:
- Single Door-sets
- Double Door-sets
- Opening In
- Opening Out
- Raised and Fielded Panels
- Solid Grooved Panels
- Glazed Panels
- Standard Locking
- Heritage Locking
Window Specifications to cover:
- Side Hung Sashes
- Top Hung Sashes

PAS 24 is recognized by Secured by Design which is the UK Police initiative to reduce burglary and crime by better design solutions
